We are delighted that you and your child are joining Millfields First School this coming September.
On behalf of the Staff, Governors, children and parents, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your family to our school community.
We hope that the information on this page will answer some of the questions that you have about your child starting school with us in September and assure you that we will write to you in the coming weeks with more information and details about your child’s induction. We will also be sending you lots of forms to fill in!
Follow the links for more information.
Activities to do with your child before they start school in Reception.
We know the beginning of school can feel scary for you and your child. These are also different times and the uncertainty of lockdown means you might be worrying that your child won’t be ready for reception. Don’t panic!
In this link, there are some things you can do with your child at home over the coming weeks to help make sure they’re just as ready to start reception as they would otherwise have been.
Please also see the ‘New Starter Booklet’ for September. Usually we would be welcoming you into have a school lunch with us and story time sessions, however things are a little different this year! Use this booklet to see the adults who will be helping you in Acorns, and fill in some information to help us learn about you, too!
Important Forms to be Completed
To enable us to have everything in place to welcome your child to our school, we have a number of forms which we need you to complete. Usually we would hand these to you on one of our induction events, instead we have uploaded them here.
Please could you complete and return these to us by the beginning of July at the very latest. (If you are unable to access / complete these please contact the school office by emailing email@example.com we can then make arrangements to get these to you). Please return completed forms to the school office either by post or by email. We kindly ask that these forms are not hand delivered to school as we are trying to limit the number of people on our school site at the moment.
For safety measures the school office is not open to visitors, however, the school office can be contacted by phone or email.
